In the Village of Ravena there are various permits
required for all construction which includes, but is not limited to: all
new building and remodeling, plumbing, electrical, water and sewer
hook-ups, pool installations, signs and fences. These permits are required
and applications may be obtained from the Building Department. A licensed
electrical inspector issues electrical permits. These applications are
also available from the Building Department.
Ordinances are in effect in the Village of Ravena.
Regulations pertaining to subdivisions, land development, and Zoning are
contained in the Village Code/Ordinance book; copies are available for
examination or for purchase at the Village Offices located at 15 Mountain
Road. |

The Planning Board reviews and makes recommendations
in regards to all significant residential, commercial, and industrial
development, future growth and expansion, and subdivisions in the Village
of Ravena.
The Planning Board consists of a chairman, four
members, and an alternate. They meet monthly on the second Monday at 7:00
PM at the Village Offices. |

Zoning Board of Appeals

The Zoning Board of Appeals' main function is to hear
and act upon appeals of Village Ordinances.
The Zoning Board consists of a chairman, four
members, and an alternate. They meet monthly on the fourth Monday at 7:00
PM at the Village Offices.
Both the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Planning Board work very closely
and cooperatively with the Building Inspector. |
