The Village of
Ravena Park Complex offers Village residents of all ages an opportunity to
participate in a wide variety of activities. The picnic area pavilions are
very popular and may be reserved by any Village resident (contact the
Village Office). The recreation areas are used for offering basketball,
volleyball, & tennis.
The Recreation
Program, adult softball leagues, baseball, Babe Ruth, and Pop Warner
football use the athletic fields throughout the day. The newly resurfaced
basketball and tennis courts are always in use. A number of youth and
adult basketball leagues play several evenings. The playground area is
well equipped for the younger children.
The pool complex,
which includes a 68 foot by 75 foot pool, provides an opportunity for
residents of all ages to cool off during the summer months under the
supervision of certified lifeguards. It is usually open from mid June
through Labor Day weekend. Hours are 12 noon to 7:00 PM. with adult swim
time (Monday-Friday) 8:00AM to 9:00 AM and 7:00PM to 8:00PM. The Red Cross
Swim Program also uses the pool for two weeks during the month of
July. Swim lessons are open to residents of the RCS school district. The
Ravena Swim Team grew from a recreational activity to a competitive team
for children.
Since the park
area is so popular and many people use the facilities, we remind everyone
to "Keep Our Park Clean".
Pool passes may be obtained at the Village Office starting the first
Friday in June each year during regular business hours. You must be a
Village resident, bring a picture ID & a current utility bill to obtain
your pass.
