AT THE REGULAR VILLAGE BOARD MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF RAVENA HELD ON JULY 5, 2016 THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION WAS OFFERED B TRUSTEE WARNER AND SECONDED BY TRUSTEE MAHLER, WHO MOVED FOR ITS ADOPTION AND IT WAS UNANIMOUSLY CARRIED.
WHEREAS, THE VILLAGE OF RAVENA OWNS FOUR PUBLIC PARKING LOTS LOCATED THROUGHOUT THE VILLAGE; AND
WHEREAS, ONE LOT IS LOCATED AT MAIN STREET AND CENTRAL AVENUE, ONE BEHIND 158 MAIN STREET, ONE AT 15 MOUNTAIN ROAD MUNICIPAL BUILDING AND ONE LOCATED BEHIND 171 MAIN STREET ADJACENT TO THE RAVENA POST OFFICE; AND
WHEREAS, THESE PARKING LOTS CANNOT BE USED FOR OVERNIGHT PARKING FOR THE FOLLOWING TYPES OF VEHICLES: RECREATIONAL VEHICLES (CAMPERS, RVs, ETC.), UTILITY TRAILERS, COMMERCIAL VEHICLES AND ALL ACCESSORIES RELATED TO COMMERCIAL USAGE; AND
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THERE WILL BE NO OVERNIGHT PARKING AT ANY VILLAGE PARKING LOT FOR THE VEHICLES TYPES LISTED ABOVE. ANY VEHICLE, AS DESCRIBED ABOVE, FOUND PARKED OVERNIGHT IN ANY OF THESE LOTS WILL BE TOWED AT THE OWNER'S EXPENSE.
THE RESOLUTION SHALL TAKE EFFECT AUGUST 5, 2016.
The Mayor and the Board of Trustees would like to remind residents of our village codes regarding dogs. . .to summarize our village codes and laws:
It is unlawful to allow dogs to run at large unless said dog is restrained by a leash or unless accompanied by its owner or a responsible person able to control the animal.
It is unlawful to allow dogs to engage in habitual loud howling or barking or conduct itself in such a manner as to habitually annoy any person.
Unnecessary noise from any source between the hours of 10:00 pm and 7:00 am the following day is prohibited. Noise from a dog that is continuous and exceeds 15 minutes is prohibited as well.
Removal of all feces is required.

No sprinklers at any time. Hand-held watering of gardens and flowers only from 7 am - 9 am and 5 pm - 7 pm. Until further notice.

Pursuant to Village Law Section 4-408(e) and General Municipal Law Section 30, the Annual Financial Report Update Document for the Village of Ravena was completed and has been filed with the State of New York, Office of the State Comptroller. Good News! According to the Department of Health the latest round of THM and HAA samplings of Village water look good. The HAA's running average is now below the 60 ug/L level. The Village of Ravena is back in compliance!
